The Ketcharis monastery is one of the most famous religious and cultural centers of medieval Armenia.
It lies on a wide open stretch of land North-West of the village of Tzaghkadzor in a central region of the Republic of Armenia. The monastery, that was erected in several stages between the mid 11th century and the early 13th century, consist in the churches of S. Grigor Lusavorich, S. Nshan and S. Harutiun, the kat'oghiké, a gavit and two chapels.
